Application of digital torque sensor

It is widely used in static torque testing systems such as testing machines, torque wrenches, steering gears, electric actuators, valves, hydraulics, etc. It is favored by users due to its excellent stability, high measurement accuracy and high cost performance.

Digital torque sensor Installation

There are two ways to install the torque sensor: base support or suspension.

1.Base support mounting torque sensor

Base Support Mounting – The torque sensor has a square “base” which means that the torque sensor does not float in the drive train. The base support mount has bearings. So you need to account for angular and parallelism errors, you need to do full coupling (or double flex coupling) at both ends of the sensor.

TIP: Using a supported mounting can reduce the length of the unsupported bearing and thus change the critical speed. Proper adjustment is critical when using braced installations.

2.Torque Transducer Suspension Mount

The torque sensor can be bearingless and suspended in the drive train (see above). When hanging installation, the torque sensor can be placed between the two half-couplings, and only the parallel misalignment adjustment is required, because the angular displacement can be adjusted by the sensor suspension.
