Ring Torsion Load Cell: High-Precision Weighing up to 470 Tons

The RTN ring torsion load cell is available in a wide range of maximum capacities, from 1 t to 470 t. All versions are compact yet extremely robust. Thanks to these features and high protection ratings (up to IP68/IP69K), the RTN load cell is ideal for harsh environments, including container weighing, large platform scales, and vehicle scale applications.

HBM’s RTN load cells deliver exceptional precision and minimize the influence of lateral loads through their unique ring-shaped strain gauge design. Their high input resistance and low power consumption allow measurements using battery-powered evaluation devices.

Various special versions are available, including IECEx-ATEX certified and high-temperature versions (up to 110 °C), with selectable cable lengths and types. Additionally, the accuracy class 0.05 version offers an M12 connector option.

Enhanced Performance RTN
The RTN series of heavy-duty load cells, proven over decades, has been improved in its latest revision with enhanced performance and new options. For example, the 0.05 accuracy class version now offers a connector system. When used with the accessory connection cable (KAB175), the load cell automatically achieves IP68/69K protection when the connector is mounted. Additionally, the robust 6-wire cable is halogen-free.
