Pull rope displacement sensor and its working principle

The rope displacement sensor is also called the rope sensor, the rope electronic ruler, and the rope encoder. The cable displacement sensor is an exquisite structural composition of a linear displacement sensor. It fully combines the advantages of an angle sensor and a linear displacement sensor to become a sensor with small installation size, compact structure, large measurement stroke, and high accuracy. The function of the rope displacement sensor is to convert mechanical motion into electrical signals that can be measured, recorded or transmitted. The cable displacement sensor consists of a stretchable stainless steel rope wrapped around a threaded hub, which is connected to a precision rotation sensor. The sensor can be an incremental encoder, an absolute (independent) encoder, a hybrid or Conductive plastic rotary potentiometer, synchronizer or resolver.
